Abstract

This scholarly article delves into the intricate interplay between gender and sexuality as depicted in religious scriptures, adopting a trilingual approach to explore nuances across different linguistic and cultural contexts. Through a comparative analysis of texts from three major world religions—Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism—this study seeks to unravel the diverse interpretations and representations of gender roles, identities, and sexual norms within religious frameworks. By examining the scriptures in their original languages—Hebrew, Arabic, and Sanskrit—this research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how gender and sexuality are conceptualized and constructed within religious traditions.
