Abstract

This paper provides a comprehensive introduction to Judaism, one of the world's oldest monotheistic religions, and offers an analytical study of its moral teachings. The exploration begins with an overview of Judaism's historical development, key texts, and major denominations, setting the stage for a deeper understanding of its ethical framework. Central to this examination is the analysis of the Torah, particularly the ethical precepts found in the Mosaic laws and prophetic literature. The paper delves into core moral principles such as justice, compassion, and the sanctity of life, highlighting their manifestations in both ancient practices and contemporary Jewish thought. By investigating the interpretative traditions and modern applications of these teachings, this study illuminates how Judaism's moral directives shape individual behavior and communal norms. The goal is to elucidate how the ethical dimensions of Judaism contribute to its broader religious and cultural identity, and how these teachings continue to resonate in today's global context.
