Religious coexistence has been a fundamental aspect of human society for centuries, particularly in the context of diverse cultural and religious environments. The relationship between Islam and other belief systems, especially in the modern era, holds critical importance for fostering global peace and understanding. This paper examines the evolving dynamics of interfaith dialogue between Islam and other major world religions, exploring the theological, social, and political implications of religious coexistence. By analyzing the historical context of interfaith relations, the study identifies the common grounds that can lead to constructive dialogue and mutual respect among different religious communities. Through the lens of Islamic teachings and practices, this research highlights the role of Islam in promoting peace, tolerance, and respect for diversity in contemporary society. It explores key Islamic principles, such as the concept of "Ahl al-Dhimmah" (the People of the Book) and the emphasis on peaceful coexistence, while also addressing the challenges that arise due to misconceptions, stereotypes, and global geopolitical tensions. The study further considers the contributions of contemporary Muslim scholars and interfaith initiatives that advocate for peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding. In addition to Islamic perspectives, the paper delves into the views of other religious traditions, particularly Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism, examining how they interpret religious pluralism and promote dialogue in their respective communities. The comparative analysis of different religious approaches to coexistence provides valuable insights into the potential for interfaith dialogue to bridge cultural and ideological divides. This paper aims to contribute to the broader discourse on religious pluralism by proposing a framework for interfaith dialogue that fosters respect, collaboration, and shared values. The study emphasizes the need for mutual understanding and cooperation between religious communities to address global challenges such as conflict, extremism, and intolerance. By recognizing the shared ethical and moral foundations of various faiths, this research advocates for a future where religious diversity is celebrated, and peaceful coexistence becomes the cornerstone of global society.
