Abstract

The Sheikh of the Qur'an, Maulana Jawhar-your-Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him), was a prominent scholar, teacher, and political leader, whose contributions extended through religious education, jurisprudential research, and political activism. This research article critically examines his scientific and political contributions, highlighting his role in the dissemination of Qur'anic science, his academic contributions, and his efforts in Islamic jurisprudence. The study also explores his political involvement, including his association with Jamaat-e-Islam, his tenure in the National Assembly, and his support for the application of Islamic law in Pakistan. His unwavering commitment to the unity of the Islamic Ummah, his efforts at legal and constitutional reforms, and his stance on major religious, social, and political issues are analyzed in the light of his writings, speeches, and practical initiatives. This analytical study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of Maulana Johar Rahman's influence on Islamic studies and political thought, explaining his legacy as a bridge between traditional Islamic teachings and contemporary governance.
