Abstract

In the digital era, data privacy and security have emerged as fundamental concerns, as individuals and organizations increasingly rely on digital platforms to store, process, and share sensitive information. Islamic ethics, with its rich tradition of safeguarding personal and societal rights, provides a unique lens to address the ethical dilemmas posed by modern data practices. This paper explores the intersection of Islamic teachings and contemporary data privacy and security principles, examining how Islamic principles of justice (Adela), trust (Amana), and transparency (Ahsan) can guide the ethical management of digital data. It investigates key concerns such as the protection of personal information, informed consent, data ownership, and the role of technological advancements in safeguarding individual rights. By analyzing Islamic perspectives on privacy, this paper seeks to provide practical solutions for integrating ethical frameworks into digital practices, ensuring a balance between technological innovation and the preservation of human dignity.
