Keywords:

Islamic spirituality represents a profound and multifaceted dimension of the Islamic tradition, encompassing ethical, metaphysical, and experiential elements that guide believers toward a deeper connection with the Divine. Rooted in the Qur’anic teachings and prophetic traditions, Islamic spirituality emphasizes the cultivation of inner virtues, the remembrance of God (shirk), and the purification of the heart (tazkiyah). This study explores the core principles of Islamic spirituality; including devotion, ethical conduct, and mystical awareness, while situating them in a comparative framework alongside global Sufi movements. By examining the similarities and differences between classical Islamic mysticism and contemporary international Sufi practices, the paper highlights the dynamic interaction between tradition and modernity, local and global spiritual expressions. Furthermore, the research addresses how Islamic spiritual paradigms contribute to interfaith dialogue, ethical living, and the personal development of practitioners in diverse cultural contexts. The findings underscore the importance of understanding both the universal and particular aspects of spirituality to foster meaningful engagement with Sufi traditions worldwide.
