Abstract

In increasingly pluralistic societies, the principles of peaceful coexistence are essential for fostering social harmony, tolerance, and mutual respect among diverse groups. This study explores the pivotal role of Qur’anic values as a foundational framework for achieving such harmony in multicultural contexts. Drawing on a comprehensive review of classical and contemporary Islamic scholarship, this research identifies core Qur’anic principles—including justice, compassion, mercy, human dignity, and respect for diversity—that provide both ethical and practical guidance for intergroup relations. The study emphasizes how these values can be operational zed within legal, educational, and social frameworks to promote inclusive policies, reduce social tensions, and strengthen community cohesion. Through a qualitative-analytical methodology, the paper examines examples from historical and modern societies to illustrate the effectiveness of Qur’anic guidance in resolving conflicts and fostering peaceful coexistence. Ultimately, this research underscores the potential of Qur’anic ethics to serve as a universal moral compass, inspiring multicultural societies to embrace shared values while respecting religious and cultural pluralism.
