Environmental degradation and climate change have emerged as critical challenges in the modern world, requiring multidimensional approaches for sustainable solutions. Islamic teachings, derived from the Qur’an, Sunni, and classical juristic literature, provide a comprehensive framework for understanding the human-nature relationship and promoting environmental stewardship. This study explores the concept of Fish al-Borah (Islamic environmental jurisprudence) and investigates how key Islamic principles—such as khilāfah (stewardship), mizzen (balance), maslahah (public interest), and la darer we la direr (no harm principle)—can guide ethical environmental conduct. Through qualitative textual analysis of the Qur’an, Habit, and classical jurisprudential sources, the study identifies normative values and actionable directives for sustainable resource management, pollution prevention, and ecological conservation. The findings highlight the integrative role of Islamic ethics in fostering environmental consciousness among individuals and communities, offering a religiously grounded paradigm for environmental governance. This research contributes to bridging traditional Islamic jurisprudence with contemporary environmental challenges, emphasizing that sustainable development is not only a social and economic necessity but also a moral and spiritual obligation.
