Abstract

Social justice is a central theme in the Qur’an, emphasizing fairness, equity, and moral responsibility in individual and societal conduct. This study explores the concept of social justice as articulated in key Qur’anic verses and prophetic traditions, highlighting its multidimensional nature, including economic fairness, protection of human rights, and ethical governance. The research also examines the contemporary relevance of these principles in addressing modern societal challenges such as poverty, inequality, discrimination, and corruption. Through a qualitative analysis of Qur’anic injunctions and classical Islamic jurisprudential interpretations, the study demonstrates how these timeless principles can be applied to contemporary social, political, and economic frameworks. Furthermore, it identifies strategies for implementing these teachings in modern governance, education, and community development to foster equitable and harmonious societies. The study concludes that the Qur’anic vision of social justice remains highly applicable today, providing both moral guidance and practical solutions to achieve social cohesion, justice, and sustainable development.
