Religious education has historically played a pivotal role in shaping societies by influencing moral values, social norms, and collective behavior. In Pakistan, madras as serve not only as centers for theological learning but also as institutions that contribute to social development and transformation. This study investigates the multifaceted role of madras as in promoting literacy, ethical awareness, and community cohesion while also addressing the debates surrounding radicalization, gender disparities, and curriculum relevance. Using a mixed-methods approach that includes field surveys, interviews with madras a administrators, teachers, and students, as well as content analysis of curriculum frameworks, the study examines how these institutions navigate the balance between traditional religious instruction and contemporary social demands. Findings indicate that while madras as significantly contributes to social stability and moral education, challenges remain in integrating modern pedagogical methods, fostering critical thinking, and promoting inclusivity. The research concludes with policy recommendations aimed at enhancing the constructive role of madras as in national development while mitigating potential societal risks.
