Abstract

The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data is crucial in transforming urban spaces into smart cities. This convergence enables cities to become more efficient, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of their citizens. IoT devices provide real-time data, while Big Data analytics allows for meaningful insights to drive decision-making processes. This paper explores the potential benefits and challenges of integrating IoT with Big Data to revolutionize smart city infrastructure, from improved public services to enhanced environmental monitoring. By examining current applications and future possibilities, this research highlights the role of IoT and Big Data in fostering smarter, more livable urban environments.
